Yesterday, I was with a group of friends at the Jazz stadium watching a game. Because I can't understand sports at all, I wasn't paying much attention to the game itself, I started looking at people around me.
I was trying to notice good things about all of those people, and the thought came to me that I knew all of them - they're all my brothers and sisters. Then I took in the big view of the entire stadium - with SO many people. All of those people I knew at one time - and I will know again! All of those people are children of God, and He loves them individually - which is just perfectly mind blowing to me.
The rest of that night, I was so peaceful - even in all the noise of the game. I would look at people and think of them in that way - and everything was so different - and everything was so perfect! If everyone always looked at one another and themselves in the eyes of our Heavenly Father - what problems would we have? Nothing worldly would really matter at all - all we would care about is taking care of one another - and ourselves for that matter!
Yes, we've all grown up singing I Am a Child of God - but have we ever really stopped and thought what those words really mean? "I am a child of God" - what a lovely message! We are all children of a loving Heavenly Father who sent us here to do wonderful things! He's planned out a particular mission for each of us lovingly - we're all sent here to do something perfectly amazing! All of the things we do every day seem very routine and our lives seem so meaningless because of the vast everything that we see around us. But one day - when we look back on the big picture, we'll smile.
